SADolch, nice helmet. I have one which I assume was just the shell & repainted, ect. bought mine in an antique shop for $30.00. I would guess your's would be $80.00 - $125.00 (at most ,for the right guy). Dave , hope this helps. currently no photos of mine yet (never bothered). jeff

Does look like a repaint, the Marx ones had a few various decals. Still cool.

Hi Jeff and Mr Jerry, Thanks for the reply,I thought it was a repaint BUT with that design in the paint and the white chin strap. i thought it might be original, ??????? Dave H

It's possible, I do like the crazing to the paint and the fact that the insignia is pasted on. It could be a version for WWII even 1950s. I haven't seen that 3rd Army one before, the ones I had were fitted with a felt pad "liner" in the crown area.
