Anyone ever heard of a DIX trench knife?.... Looks similar to WW2 M3>......I appreciate any info........Thanks Dave

Dave never heard of it. looks nice Not in cole's book. any other markings - anywhere ?? even the "cross guard" is diffrent = smaller. Not up on civilian knives , might be a prototype sent to get a contract ??? & did not ?? jeff

Thanks for the rely Jeff........No other markings...Handle is leather with 2 fiber washers at each end.....Blade is a bit narrower than M3........It is 3/4" wide, where standard M3 is 7/8".......I googled the net and found a couple of references to a DIX knife, but no pics of one...This one has me puzzled...Best Reguards......Dave
