Gentlemen

Here are 3 Heer daggers: Luneschloss, Clemen & Jung & Klass. I'm an Eidkhorn man and know very little about other manufacturers but there are big red flags with all of these IMO. What do the experts think?

Luneschloss.................................Clemen & Jung.......................................Klass

I certainly don't like the crossguards on the clemen&jung and the Klaas dagger. Two of the three pommels really look strange. Maker marks off centre. Too many red flags I'd say.

The Jung crossguard certainly looks strange the Klaas guard is Ok and a rare type not sure why the pommels look crooked on the luneschloss and Klaas

The Clemen & Jung dagger is terrible. IMO the crossguard, the grip and the ferrule are poor reproductions.
And I agree with Jim and dr: the pommels look very strange... but probably it's just the photo.

Agree with Janos on the Clemen & Jung. Bad crossguard, grip and ferrule.

The curvature of the crossguard looks wrong for the usual KLAAS type, but it does resemble the unknown example at the end of Degens references.

The only Clemen & Jung TM that I have seen on Heers or Lufts is the 2 part mark with the crown on one side and the Z on the other.

Hi kenrven

We decided that there were big question marks about all three so I didn't buy any of them. You should be able to buy a really nice Heer dagger for anything between US$400 and US$600 (perhaps a bit more depending on the maker) I would have thought. Not one of these though.

best

James
