The cross grain does not look right...maybe it's the angle of the picture but the blade looks like it was touched up by a grinding wheel? The grip looks real shiny to be 70 years old... Mark

I have to agree with Mark, this dagger might have some areas of concern but it may just be the picture light, etc. Did you treat the grip with some sort of furniture polish?
