3 PACK STAMPED TRADE MARKS
Etched and plain pioniere bayonet group.

Thank you for looking. I could not get it all together to run these pioniere (pioneer) pictures in one group even though it was telling me I could run ten at a time?

I am always interested in purchasing. Please check my web page.

STINGRAY,
Thank you for your kind words. When I saw your posts on the 8th of the month you stirred up some of some old emotions and started me digging through some of my bayonets. It is very encouraging to see a great mint collection like you have going. I was hoping it all could start
waking up some of the others to shake the dust off of their bones and start showing that this hobby can be alive and well.

I can tell you it was difficult to remember how to put the pictures together to post them. I thought I had lost it but it made my days come alive proving I had something left upstairs.
Sincerely,

Nice collection. I was looking to add one of these to my collection. I only saw four of these at the SOS and none of them were in the condition I wanted. Kirby

Ralph,

how do I comment on your collection? Other than WOW. I have 4 or 5 here no etched one yet but a dusted off old photo of a full bird hilt monogramed alcoso, and an Eick over the shoulder late war pioniere

Nothing to be ashamed about, those are both winners, my friend.

Thanks Billy for the kind words.

Anyone else see the full bird pioneers that Ralph has in the pictures above? I spy one in stag. That type I would love to add to my collection. And if I could find it in a rare TM, I would go out of my way to buy it in a minute. And if you could add that with an etch, I would be beside myself. I know Ralph has a couple of those. Some of the older collectors seen what was collectable way before I ever thought of doing dress bayonets. I was still stuck on helmets, guns, and such

Steve:

You have posted the Eickhorn before... that has to be one of the rarest versions of a Pioniere hilted bayo.

I only have two plain bladed Pioniere hilted, both Eickhorns, a double oval full bird and the 35-41 marked blunt beak.

We are sure seeing some rare birds here.

John,

Thanks. I do love the Eickhorns. But the full-bird alcosso monogrammed one is the only one I've seen like it on the Pioniere. I have a number of the monogrammed pommels and I have one blade monogrammed. I think I've posted all of my pionieres at one time or another. I do have another here that's hard to find. It's a snub-nosed Christians. The TM alone is not seen often and I've seen one other pioniere like it for sale. It may have been on Ebay or somewhere else. I'm still looking for a lonely pioniere in stag. And if it only came with an etch, for my price, it would make my day.:)

Ah yes, the Christians pioneer. I remember that one as well, a good buy if I remember correctly & a rare bird in more than one respect. Christians is pretty rare to find on a bayonet in any hilt form IMHO.

Since you found this one, I thought long & hard that they must have made them in fireman's bayonets too, right? Well after long last, I finally found out I was right smile Haven't even had a chance to post it on the fire bayonet thread but that's coming.

Billy,

Simply outstanding! What can't you find in a FW?!! That TM in a FW has to beat my pioniere. I would have to look around the room to see if I could match you one on that and raise you one.:) Some of the FW guys are going to be green with envy when you post it. I only have a dozen or so here. You and a few others are the people to get in touch with on the FWs. Thanks for the pic.

And I didn't get a sneak preview the other day?:)

Many thanks for the kind words Gents. Although I had always suspected Christianswerk made a fire bayonet, I thought I might never see one. Then several years ago I saw Steve's Pioneer & thought well, maybe one day. This one came to me from Eban, of all places. Not recently, maybe 6 months or so ago. You can still occasionally unearth a gem there if patient.

This one is 1 of a number of neat & interesting fire bayonet & dress dagger pickups I've made & haven't had the time to photograph or resize. But I'm working on it wink

Apologies to Ralph, sorry for hijacking the thread my friend.

I believe Christians is a rare mark on any type of dress bayonet, I've only seen a handful of all types. But I only collect fire bayonets, with rare exception. Don't feel bad, it's a shame but I learned a long time ago, you can't keep them all.

Also have posted 3 additional E.Pack & Sohne Nr. Infanterie pieces with long and short blades.

Thank you for your posts. It surely helps let everyone know what all is still out there.

Please check my Web pages on other bayonets and hunting and forestry daggers.

Ralph,

As always, a very nice looking group. The knot on the Pack looks familiar, by any chance did it come from the great state of South Carolina?
