JME, You have a great conditioned and an awesome piece of SA history. Great photos also. What is the SA group mark on this dagger? Knowing the district that it served in adds to the daggers history. Best regards Larry

Sorry for not getting back right away since I have recently come down with multiple Medical problems which translate into good and bad days. Thank you all for your comments which is much appreciated! Hi Rob B this Dagger was just recently found in Germany and was never in another collection. Hi Siegfried the Dagger is stamped (NO) can you tell me what that means? I have heard of the McSaar list but don't know much about it. How can one get a copy of the McSaar list? Appreciate and look forward to all of your comments! JME

hello JME The stamping on the lower crossguard "No" stands for "NordSee" or north sea in English terms. Nordsee was the SA Gau district situated in the northwestern part of Germany that sits right on the edge of the the North Sea itself. The dagger you have was designated for the SA Mann serving in that area. The McSaar list can be acquired from the author and SA moderator of this forum,, Mike McAlvanah. If you begin to collect SA daggers this list is a must! Regards Larry
