Hey Jr,,its rare to find Himmler daggers or any SS dagger especially when it comes out from hiding over the last 65 years, but there is always a treasure story that always comes with such an excellent find. Larry

A quick question for the expert: Your example above shows full anodization/darkening of the SS motto.
Is that what one should expect on a Himmler inscription dagger ?

It's light gray Dave............... not as dark as a Boker by any means, but no doubt very close to all of the original burnishing that was done by the Eickhorn factory. As can be seen, the dedication is exactly the same as the motto and trademark.
