In my 30 years as a LEO I collected lots of patches. Alas, most are all gone, given or traded away. I did find these three survivors recently. And yes, I can read, really, so I know where they are from. I was just wondering what years they were used. Someone on another forum has already questioned the authenticity of the Dachau patch.

Hello,
To answer your question your patches are post war.If you look at the West German Police thread above this one I think you might be able to put a date to them. I can't help since out of my area of interest.
I think the problem with the Dacau patch is I am fairly sure that the area is under the authority of the Munich police and don't have their own "city police". I could be wrong but a West German collector could tell you for sure. Regards, Bill Unland

Thanks Bill, I was wondering when you would speak up. I meant to put this in the West German Police arena but some how ended placing it here and then I couldn't delete it ! Anyway, a response I received from another forum - The Bahnpolizei was absorbed by the Bundesgrenzschutz, now Bundespolizei. Date was for the new (Eastern) Federal Lands 10/03/1990 and for the older Federal Lands 04/01/ 1992. The Stadtpolizei Dachau exists from 1948-1968.
