Any fossil or mineral collectors around? Here's a couple that I was lucky enough to find.

Hey, found one back in '68. About the time I figured out what it was and started wondering how to get it out of the rock, a park ranger came over to see what I was doing. It's still in the park but I did get credit for finding it wink

Vern. Had the same problem with a park ranger when he caught me a handful of arrowheads I had just found at Ft. Randall Dam! He took them from me and threw them in the water!

Yeah, those guys have absolutely no sense of humor wink At least they put up a sign where I found the tooth and covered the rock with a big piece of glass to keep people from trying to chip it out! Here's a few arrowheads I've found over the years. As a collector, I describe myself as a person of many and varied interests. My wife calls me a packrat wink

Here's some Arizona Indian finds. These are all Anasazi from around 1350AD. And yes that includes the corncobs. Our semi-arid climate preserves very well.

I expect your wife and mine would have quite an interesting conversation! grin

Nice collection of Indian artifacts Vern and Jim. Vern, I see you also found a couple of nice stone drills. I quit looking for these when the ranger told me I was disturbing history and could be fined up to $10,000.00 but that is only on federal land. I still look once in awhile on private land. Plowed fields are a good place to look.

The regulations here are you can pick up and point, arrowheads but nothing else that are on the surface. These pot sherds were acquired long before there were regulations and it's also very unlikely you'd find any this size today.
