Can you guys give me your opinions on the type2 crossguard? The only issue I have is the swastika. It looks to be "filed" down or hand chiselled. I'm not sure of eickhorn's methods, but I've seen examples were it looks smooth.

Looks just fine to me. it's a bit worn to the high areas and you can see some base metal coming through.. Here's one to compare

Due to my experiences not the 2nd but the forth (and last) EICKHORN crossguard. As lakesidetrader, I cannot find any abnormality, simply small traces of use and age, nothing uncommon. What we can see (and assume) in the few and cutout pics it looks like an overall nice, decent dagger. Regards,

Thanks guys. Being my first eickhorn dagger, can you please specify where you see the base metal coming through? Is it the swastika?
