This is an interesting piece. Must have belonged to someone fairly important. Marble inkwell measures about 12 1/2" X 7 1/2". The paperweight mesures about 2 1/2" X 3". Wingspan on the eagle is 6 1/2".

Hi Gaspare -
Yes! There's a groove up front about one inch wide to hold a pen. It does show in the first photo if you really look hard.

Gordon, very nice ! I agree , some one of some importance, OR they thought they were . would not be a guy in a back office, can't impress any one. the "gold " with the black marble is very nice. the color should mean something.... political , navy , ect. thinking made in italy .... maybe because of the color of the marble ? very nice ! if I had it , that would force me to clean off my junk piled desk !!! thanks for showing it to us . jeff
