The dagger is a late period NSKK, appears to be all original to me, no red flags that I see. A few minor condition issues, but authentic.

Red I agree, If the price is correct, I think you can go in it.

Hello Reynaldo, this only my opinion, but I would say about $550 for a dagger in this condition. Regards, Leipzig

Hi Reynaldo! You already got all the help you need but, yes, looks very good and very nice! Your crossguards, a bit pointy/bendy? Are good for this maker! I had a resque project of a late Spitzer last year, SA, not NSKK, but, it resembles yours. I hope you get a good deal with this! It surely looks very nice! Please post shots if you buy it, yes? Cheers, KR

Your crossguards, a bit pointy/bendy? I think it's a curlying type like mine, may be F & B marked too:

Hi Ricardo! Long time no? YES, I saw those curly guards on one of yours first! Your dagger-n-rose, surely! I think yes, F&B inside, but would need to break mine up again. Id hate to loose more chips on the grip, but, will see if I have the patience someday soon.

I had see some Spitzers without curlying crossguards, there is one at Collector's Guild . I think both kind of crossguards are correct for Spitzer daggers.

Ricardo

These crossguards are the late injection moulded type, probably dating the dagger to 1941 or 42. You can find this type on many makers of both SA and SS of this vintage as they were simpler to manufacture requiring less finishing due to the higher precision of injection casting.

Well, it lost a few! The grip is less dry now, I oiled it well, but, reckon I wont touch it maybe. Or anyways till a nice quiet sunny lazy days comes along to relax, and THEN give it a try. Ill be careful if I do it. These crossguards are the late injection moulded type, probably dating the dagger to 1941 or 42. Red I can see how that takes less manual finishing, yes! Thanks Red for your infos! Cheers, KR
