Looks like a late war, period repaired, textbook, transitional, anomaly with a COA from Mr Hanney of Green Acres fame. (So you know it's right),that would require an in hand inspection. So it could be sold.

Mr Haney was the best, when it came to selling snake oil. Interesting though I saw somewhere on this SS forum the same style Numeral I group mark on another SS dagger in question,, small world. I believe he also sells handles for CB radios and has wheels in stock for football coaches

Well the seller didn't actually lie. He did say "probably" a repro! Well, to me, that implies there may be a chance it's original, which is just dishonest.... But, it makes for a good laugh!

Ok, here's a new one. A Himmler by Columbuswerk! Well, at least the seller admits he THINKS it's a copy:
My opinion it is a reproduction in super quality. I think it is a copy, but it just do not know, because I do not know much about it. Please do not bid if you agree.
Sell privately - no return and warranty!!! Attention - Attention!!!
Shipping:
Germany: 4,50,- US Dollar EU countries: 7,5,- US Dollar Outside the EU: 9,- US Dollar
Dagger will be sold as on the pictures to watch is, what originality is not confirmed, because I am not versed at all with such matters and for that reason, I can give no guarantee of authenticity, so you look closely at the pictures and decide for yourself (I refer you to my large-format photos to yourself to take a picture), for this reason I offer you: Please provide only if you agree with state and said conditions are possible after purchase no claim, surrender or renegotiations.

John,
I believe the blade to be real but badly deteriorated and adorned with a fake inscription. A shame that we are seeing hard to find blades that have been reworked with bad inscriptions

Nah: You guys must have slept through H.S. history class when they actually used to teach history in high school. It's a well known fact that Columbus discovered Germany before he even thought about finding America and opening his first McDonalds. This is a tribute dagger to the discovery!! jim
