Crash helmets were designed for motorcycle crews of the Ordnungspolizei. The color of the helmet corresponded to the colors assigned to the particular branch of service: White with gold eagle for Traffic Police, brown for the Motorized Gendarmerie unit and black for Schutzpolizei Motorcyle Detachments and both of these will aluminum color eagles. There is also pictorial evidence that the Schupo motocycle crash helmet was used by crews of the police armored detachments.

Happy New Year Vern.
No, these designs differed from the NSKK variety of crash helmet that was of an older design that featured a higher helmet body, older style salt and pepper top air vents, more pointed visor and a bumper that ran across the top of the helmet from front to back. That same design was used by the Prussian/early Nazi period police until this design was adopted. Here is a photo of one that is displayed on the Victory Militaria.com web site.
