Tiep,

Weyersberg didn't have a line of etched bayonets, as per Wayne's book. The fact it's attributed to the LAHSS would make me extremely skeptical but I never say never. Better pictures would tell the tale.

A pure fantasy etch IMHO. Hitler did not give out any bayonets to the LAH.

I agree with the opinion that this etch is bogus, but etches by makers other than those appearing in Wayne's book are possible.

I picked up an etch by Max Weyersberg (WMW Waffen) directly from Wayne last year. It was discussed in a GDC thread.

I am sure that many of the smaller makers would not turn down special order business if it came their way.

I dont know squat about these but as I was observing the dag, this is what stood out to me. It was a bit corroded in the blood groove, its plating on the hilt was very worn, slot button missing, it did look old and the mm was really sharp. So to me anyhow it looked ok for ages sake. He also had a C&J police bayo matching # and a double engraved 2nd luft but it needed to be retipped.T
