Recently buyed, with the correct knot. But... is it here really a Custom's sword, which would be gilted in a metal scabbard? ... (normally silvered in a metal scabbard for the customs "on earth", and gilted in a leathered scabbard for the customs "on sea")Your opinion please!

Not a Customs saber- strictly an Army officer pattern by ACS. The scabbard may be a repaint- it looks pretty glossy.
The damaged celluloid grip could be repaired with an epoxy if you were so inclined. I believe someone had listed directions on how to do so. I've used expody on grip repairs with very good results.
