Hi guys,
please your opinions on this chained WKC dagger.
i'm still waiting on some better pics, so I will update post as soon as I have some more pics and some measurements (to compare to to Dave's measuremnts given in the topics abaove)
I have no chained brothers to compare it too. Little experience on the dark side. Comes out of old collection , the grandson is selling 5 daggers and some other stuff, the other daggers are ok but this one i do not know. What I can see is the denazified, reglued eagle and a not so good moto (based an a poor pic).
Question on the moto: Is the moto (except for an extra exclamation mark) always exactly the same for all makers??? Or are there slight differences depending on maker? If not, how was this standardisation achived, did every company got the same mall ?

the 5 last pics posted are very big sized pics, so I can easily take good close up out of this pics if that would help let me knwo. I made a few of the grip and chain.
one more question the difference in color on the chainlinks (copper color) is this normal or not ?

I would stay clear of this dagger. It is parts dagger without a doubt. I also do not like the looks of the chain, shape of skulls and their detail. Buy Tom Whittmanns SS book and he will answer all of your questions and more.

The detail of the links is off base, they look to be brass based, not to mention the crossguards and grip which look like the early copies with soft rounded corners. Below is what you'd expect to see...

None of it looks good to me. Brass base as already said bad, skulls wrong, SS Runes seem off, maybe to big? Grip looks like a repro just like already said too...stay far away.
