Am I missing something here? Where are all the eagles features? No eye, no beak detail? Does the crossguard detail not appear to be rounded off rather than sharp?

Replating can also soften the details. I'm telling you this crossguard just is not right. If you email me I'll send you a couple pics from my archive of what the WKC EM crossguard is supposed to look like. Also do a search on WAF, I think it was WAF, as there was a fake WKC RLB EM on the a few months ago. It was really really good.
I look forward to having all the old threads available here on GDC...

Paul is right, as usual. The overall lack of detail & soft edges on the crossguard leads me to believe at least that part may be a postwar reproduction. Not sure about the rest but the questions on the crossguard alone would make me steer clear of this dagger.

Looks like one of the repro crossguards from the 1970s on an original WKC blade and scabbard to me.
