I have never seen anything like this one before. Looks to be early made, not 3R. Grip I believe has never been plated, it must be solid brass. The frog stud is also in "Gold" The flash makes it look like silver though. Any ideas?

Henrik,

Never seen anything like it myself except a gilted fireman's bayonet that eventually turned out to be postwar etched & humped up. By the look of the bakelite, the piece looks like early production.

I suspect too that the blade is 10 1/4" instead of the more regularly seen 9 3/4"?

The blade is 247mm, hilt 127mm. I see no traces of nickle platning anywere. Scabbard is magnetic.
