Pleaese guys, all you have to do was ask: One trip, two stops, one veteran and one collector. You can see by the photos its two different motels. Ron Weinand

It came from a vet or a collector , who cares. It's new items for the collecting community who are still active buying. One day I can see my items going the same way as my two sons have no interest.

Its just that the term is very misleading...If item is a vet buy thats fine...If its a collector who happened to be selling his collection AND was a Vet well its still true its from a vet but if he was buying his collection from TJ or TW then where does one draw a line.

Ron, you really could share a photo of the black Off. visor inliner etc. Otherwise it looks like a commercial to me to get the interest for PM's or emails.

So they are just here to tease then? Its really great seing what you guys keep scoring but you never show much detail so I can understand how some see this as a cheap advertising ploy.Perhaps some detailed shots in the future and some ads on the 'for sale' section would be brilliant.

Jon: This has been my attempt to show collectors who continually preach that finding good items from veterans is over and all the stories of past finds were false. It is also my intent to display what is available and I DO ADVERTISE HERE on a regular basis even when the response is more limited here than in other places, but my support doesn't wain. So, what more do you want? Maybe you should contact me and give me a want list, as many others have done in the past. Which I keep for six months and contact with new stock on a regular basis for those who frequent my site. Finally, I know of some dealers that will not advertise anymore because their regular customers complain that they weren't contacted FIRST and are putting all their items that are in demand in auctions. Being a new member here and looking for people like me in the same interest of WWII history, this is not what I was looking for. Not the pictures of all the good finds (I should be that lucky) but the problem of, did it come from a collector in the interest of the hobby. Or,did it come from a true veteran who was there? Why split hairs?

Ron: I think it also needs to be pointed out that you and Tom have,in some instances, decades old contacts with senior collectors that aren't computer literate or haven't been actively collecting for years. When the time comes for them to dispose of their collections either you or Tom gets the call. For the rest of us it's research, explore leads and "dig it out of the woodwork". Jim

Ahhh sure it's a tease, but it does get the juices flowing, no? The items are out there, just have to keep looking and keep asking!
