If it looks to good to be true... You`d have to have one heck of a hanger to match it!! JMO

I don't like the stitching. It does not look period and is incorrect. The Germans used double crossovers on the edges and a backstitch. I don't see either on this.
It might be good..I don'r know much about these dagger hangers but I see a lot of belt hangers in my shop on Officers shoulder crossover belts and the originals are all stitched nicely. This is too crude for my taste.

With SA/SS belt loops there are no real rules to follow. See some of my SS examples in TW's book. The vary in width length, type of D ring and are found with various stitching as well as various rivets.
As I understand the process, the daggers were awarded or distributed in a heavy paper bag with a short hanger as part of the "factory package". No belt loop was included. Some were sold through official channels, and these would be the few ones that we find RZM marked. I suspect that many loops were made up locally by cobblers and they vary quite a bit.
With unmarked belt loops it is really the buyers judgment and experience that counts above all else. I look for signs of age and some wear. If in doubt, I put it in a zip-lock bag overnight and then smell it later. If I can smell leather, I usually pass.

And what makes it the SA loop? Brown colour?

Looks like natural leather, with no stain. Maybe for a Luftwaffe gravity knife???

Smell test would be interesting on this, unfortunately Ebay as of yet does not offer this. We often do find belt loops stitched and many prefer them to be riveted. As far as telling a SA hanger from a SS hanger the truth lies in the rivet color.
