UBB.threads Forums Edged Weapons Army, Navy, and Luftwaffe Forum Parts dagger or not?

I have the chance to buy this dagger but when I received more pictures of the dagger I noticed it has a Eickhorn crossguard. Does this mean it's a part-dagger or could it be original?

Iam by no means an expert but my dagger has a different crossguard , other than that it looks in great condition, iam sure someone will point you in the right direction

Clearly an Eick. crossguard (my favorite one actually).
PS blade does not seem to match.
I know that the larger firms supplied parts to smaller makers (and Seilheimer would fit the context of "smaller" maker) but I have not seen a legitimate Eick crossguard of THIS type on any other blade (than Eick.).
I have not taken the time to disect the pommel, scabbard, scabbard bands, etc. but I would avoid this one.
Just my thoughts.

The crossguard on my Seilheimer matches the one Lee has posted.

The crossguard, pommel, ferrule and possibly the scabbard are all Eickhorn produced parts which is a good thing. The blade may possibly have been swapped out but many would argue.

This is one of those daggers that you have to choose which side of the "textbook" fence you sit on .

Later Seilheimer army daggers are normally found with Generic parts unlike the two gorgeous early examples shown above fitted with early 1st pattern Weyersburg crossguards.
