This is all the same. I think nobady buy items for 10k $ without deep informations. Worse are ''normal'' fakes about 1k $. This is not too much money and people buying these fakes. But spend 10k without info...can do only stupid soul...
Best, Lukas.

Very sad. Trying to educate the seller only brings grief....

Sad. Had a small get together at the Max Fri nite and talked about this very thing. It's predominantly newbies who are getting burned with this crap. We've all been saying we need new blood... Sorry I don't know the answer here but this costs us all.

This fake would only fool the newest of newbies but I went ahead and reported it to Gunbroker. Keep one thing in mind. A LOT of the items for sale on Gunbroker are fakes and the ones that are not generally are started at or near retail. Don't expect to find any bargians there. Unfortunately there are much more convincing dagger fakes coming out of the former Commie Block Countries. Jim

I had the chance to debunk 2 fake SS daggers at MAX. One was a RZM 1054/39 SS with a real blade. The rest was fake. The second was an M7/66 RZM that was all fake. I did not get to take pictures but they are both like the topics pinned to the top of this forum.

Below is the exchange I had with GunBroker over that horrible fake dagger. It reads from the bottom up. The only thing I can suggest is to do what they say and report items. I wonder what their referring to inregard to "fraud claims"? It reads like they are re-imbursing collectors who have been scammed with fakes. Note their comment that this one is "not as nice as the fake one we already have" Jim Just open a support issue like this. We are happy to whack them. We don't need to pay out on any more fraud claims and end up with more fake garbage. 10/4/2010 8:32:04 PM Jim M A sizable percentage of the 3rd Reich Items on GunBroker are fake. I know that and I expect you know it as well. You could do GunBroker and the collecting community a big favor by setting up an easy reporting procedure for fakes. If you cleaned this area up I expect more of the legitimate sellers would list items there and many more from the collecting community would buy there. As it stands now your militaria section is reported as one to avoid on the collectors forums. Jim 10/4/2010 5:06:51 PM GBSupport1012 There is a "report" link on certain items, which many seller take offense at. It is not something that we could expand to every item without driving away sellers. We have removed this item. (Not as nice as the fake one we already have.....) 10/4/2010 2:58:05 PM Jim M http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=193759707 This dagger is a bad fake. Anyone buying it will be shafted out of thousands of dollars. I wish you had a "report item" field in each listing. Typical TR edged weapon junk for sale on gunbroker. Seems that the scum bags from ebay have found gunbroker perfect for their garbage.
