Is this the real deal? It seem ok to me. Notice the eagle is on the end of the tray and not the center????
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Ive owned a few pieces of AH silverware.. (not plates or platters) but I dont like the lack of detail.. in the eagle..
If the price was super great..Id buy it and serve it when the in-laws are in town but I wouldnt throw a ton of cash at it.
Just my .02

I like the German silver plate stamp, but can't comment on the AH eagle mark. The German standard for "plate thickness" was 90. Some companies used a higher standard of plate thickness. The higher the number the thicker the plate. They were also stamped in 60,40,20. The lesser the number the thinner the plate. Remember these numbers do not tell you the actual amount of silver on the item. Another number was added later for that purpose. At present some knifes and forks are up for sale in the for sale section and you can see more of these marks.
The law was ammended in 34 for silver plated cutlery and other table utensils which provided for a number stamp to be used. Making other marks used, invalid.

The trio mentioned might think it's OK,but I'm with disbo100 on this one,the eagle just looks too cartoonish for my taste.

Hi,
If the big guys say its good.. well it must be but like Rich and I put out.. a bit odd eagle.
And as we all know.. Odd is red flag to folks.. It will be harder to move it a few months from now or even 10 years from now.
Dont get me wrong.. if its 50-100 bones..Id get it but in the 300-1000+++ range Id pass.
Just my 2 cents.

Good to see other examples from the same maker in the same style.I would think the eagle is on the edge because if it were in the center it would be covered when being used and not seen.
