The SS Officer who owned that SS Degen must have been a giant. Superb grouping Eric.

I have an SS officers degen with a 33" blade and I figured the wearer would have to be at least 6" tall. Jim

Thanks Pat. I would guess he was 6'5-6'6 range. I am 6'0 and it drags the ground on me!

A beautiful example BTW Eric. By far these are my favorite 3rd Reich swords. I have a couple examples so is anyone interested in starting a seperate thread like "Show us your SS Degens"? Jim

Great SS grouping you got there Eric. Congrats! That SS officer must have been an imposing figure in a full dress Algemeine uniform. -serge-

Troy, your dagger is simply beautiful and a perfect example and reason for why these artifacts should be cleaned and preserved. The supposed interest in TR artifacts is their existence in that period prior to to May 1945, whatever any collector sees in 70 years of post accumulated muck is beyond me. and please don't mention 'Patina' it's no such thing, true patina is years and years of gentle caring not the gunge we see on some examples.
Guns Mr Nolan, I see no Guns!
