Found this one hidden away when we were packing up to move. Thought I would share, it's never seen the light of forums before.
Untouched other than to wipe off blade with a rag. There are a few age spots on the near mint blade and one tiny dent at bottom of scabbard, but otherwise great patina, 100% cross grain, needle sharp and full burnishing to company motto.

I remember when Denny first posted his list of rare Army makers, this one was one of his 10's and rightly so, the dagger above is a beautiful prime example of a quality dagger. Congratulations on owning such a lovely dagger.

Thanks Gents for the nice comments.
One of the few positive things about changes in work status and the hassles of relocating is it gives one a chance to pull out play with toys that were in long term storage.

hi jeff, must be a very early made piece. this logo is also found on S.A.daggers (rarely). can Not recall logo on other items (assumed it might be) but, the company surely made a ton of stuff , with their other logo , "wmw".
question on why the change ? I know, lost to the ages. then you have Eickhorn with never ending maker marks. knew in advance they would be screwing with the minds of future collectors.... Beautyfull dagger. jeff h.

Thanks for the nice comments. The cross guard is solid brass too. Here is close up where you can see it coming through on the wear to the breast feathers and talons.

Thanks for all the positive comments, but I am going to put up for sale on the GDC classified section. Personal delivery at MAX is possible.
Wanted to give those that were kind enough to post here a heads up in advance before it goes on classified section.
Regards, Jeff
