My friend just got a call and picked up a Japanese officers sword and rifle!

The rifle is a model 44 carbine with dust cover and folding
bayonet. I believe its a 1938 calvary carbine! 6.5 mm ammo
used.

Finish is very nice and came with dust cover and folding bayonet. There was 3 types and this is a type 1.

The sword is nice but unmarked tang!

But the kicker is the two bringback papers for them!

Has serial number of rifle on paper!

Just some fast pics to give idea!

M/Sgt Neton got both in Korea!

And does it still have the cleaning rod in the buttstock? That's always a nice bonus.
