Hello! How about a Table Medal? Nice copper color, 2 inches in diameter. Can someone translate the inscription on the reverse? Regards, Leipzig

Nice piece. I tried a translation but beyond The Victor I do not trust my findings. (Possibly something about a qualifying contest)?
Kurpfalz is apparently a Palatinate. I'm going to let you look that one up. Too deep for me. frown

In all probability a timed road trip from Kurpfalz to the Saar.

Thanks for showing the non portable. --dj--Joe

Hi all,

Wow, WOW, that IS a great nonportable This is 1 to envy! Its a BIG plaque too! Very nice! Thanks for showing! It is probably a rare 1?!

Translation, Joe is right, Dem Sieger, the winner. Ausscheidung, is an elimination contest. And, the rest, is not so difficult. The race itself, it would be cool to find more on that! Any luck so far Joe? A quick google led me to this, but, doesnt say anything about a race ... ?

Sincerely,
Karin-Renate

Hello dj, Krullies, and m/m. Thank-You for the kind words! The medal is rather lite-weight. Perhaps aluminum w/ a copper-bronze wash? Regards, Leipzig

Hi all,

Somehow NSKK tinnies are less respresented? But heres another 1 to add. A tinnie for the Schlezier Dreieck Rennen by the NSKK and the DDAC. The DDAC, is Der Deutsche Automobil Club. NSKK became independant in 1934. DDAC was part of NSKK, and, when National Socialism came to power in Germany, the ADAC (Algemeine Deutsche Automobil Club was forced to become part of the nazi DDAC. ADAC was founded in 1903 and by 1911 it had some 17000 members already. In 1932 NSKK + DDAC had a few thousand cars together, the forced joint with ADAC was very convenient for NSKK. Motorsport was popular, for leisure + also for functional purposes. Transportation + being mobile was very important for Hitlers reign.

The Schleizer Dreieck is a Motorsport-parcours in Thüringen near the city of Schleiz. The parcours is the oldest natural parcours in Germany. Races are held there from 1923 to today. The course is shortened somehow through the years. Untill 1988 is was about 7.5 kilometers long. From 1989 untill 2003 it was 6.8 kilometers. Then, it was shortened again to 3.8 kilometers.

Races are still held there today and probably will be for time to come. Heres another link that maybe some will like.

Enjoy,
KR

I swear I think I saw this, or a copy, on auction somewhere? Or on some website? But possibly Im thinking wishfully *LOL* Anyhow, enjoy,

Another prettylooking NSKK tinnie for Motorgruppe Hochland. Hochland, 1 of 5 Gruppen that made Motor-Obergruppe Süd, with F. Ritter von Städtlers as the Obergruppenührer. Ritter von Städler lived from 1885 to 1944, served at the front during WWI, and joined the SA in the 1920s. After the bloody Nacht der langen Messer he joined NSKK. Yes, the pic has a fail, Adolf Hühnlein, is the name of another Gruppe, also part of Motor-Obergruppe Süd. I found out after taking it, sorry. Still, both groups, part of the same Obergruppe, so, there is a slight relation. Also, after Hühnlein died, Gruppe Hühnlein was joined with Gruppe Hochland. Anyways, nice Edelweiß, and, thats discussed here. No mark of the maker on the back, the Abzeichen is made of leather. Nice coloured pin awesome for display.

Cheers,
KR

Hi Rod and thanks! Yes it looks very great! And it fooled me too, I thought it was made of cardboard or paper? But its leather. Its the deluxeversion *LOL* Its amazing how good some tinnies are, after 70 years? Leather dries out I think, but this seems very OK still.

Cheers,
KR
