Hi all - Unfortunately badly damaged and lucky to still be together. Seller says he found it with a metal detector near Asel, Germany. - Bob

I am not real sure, but i think this hammerd band is only a variation of this rings. Mostly they aare seen with the stripped? band you show on the first pic..
It looks like they have same construction and same skull, only different bands.
Cool ring and i would like it.

If i remember right Benten has one with stripped? band.

The band early on was supposed to look like the WW1 tank tread.. These rings were available right after WW1 and during the Freikorp era,,,and of course many worn into WW2 and beyond..
There are many variations on the band and a few different skulls,,all have a separate skull affixed to the band and sometimes the bands seam is behind the skull..
Please feel free to add more on to this topic! [nice one BB!]

- someone had emailed about these rings and me being lazy found this post to show, so a quick bump to top..

Many just had a plain band. Usually the joining/sizing seam to the rear of band,,I've seen a few with the seam to front!

Careful, like everything else,,these rings were counterfeited!
