Does anyone know who was the maker of the fighting knife with the 4 tool attachment in the handle with the bakealite grips? I know some were made by PUMA with the wooden handle but I have also seen one with the bakealite grips & not maker marked. Any help would be appreciated.

Rocky:
Eickhorn made a fighting knife with the tool attachment. The blade is marked Eickhorn (cof) and the tools are marked to Klaas. The SG42 is supposed to be a machine gunner's tool.

John, that is a very nice fighting knife. You don't see any of those for sale. The one I was referring to looks like the puma fighting knife that has the attachments in the handle. Puma made them with the wooden grips & the bakealite grips. I saw a puma with a wooden handle & 4 tool attachments but there is one that has the bakealite grip & has no maker on it. I was wondering who made that one.

I've always heard Puma only made that model with their marks on blade and bakelite handle.. Maybe a member can confirm/enlighten.. Here is a Puma listed on Lakeside for the moment. FK-28 Fighting Knife with 4 Tools by Puma Hard to find variation these were issued to machine gun crews. This one has smooth hardwood grip plates which are crack and crack-free. The grip plates are secured with 3 rivets. The blade shows light evidence of age and maintains it's original shape. The scabbard retains about 60% of original paint and is dent-free. This design spring steel clip is unique to this version of fighting knife. The clip functions fine. This same knife can be viewed in Johnson's Reference Vol. VII pg 334 Exc++

Seany,, thanks for that..
How about this: , Anyone have any Puma WW2 fighting knife with a wood handle or rivets like this one shown that they'd be 100% sure dates from the 60s/70s/80s.?
