Here are my two Dutch commando daggers. They have been brougt to Norway during WW2. None of them have matching numbers,but they are quite rare anyway. hope you like them  Best regards FJ

Never knew they had matching numbers...
Are most number matching or mismatch?

You have two beautiful examples. Much nicer than the one I had.
These all originated in Holland and ended up in Denmark, and now I know, Norway.
The one example I owned also had the miss matched numbers.
I understand they are the equivalent to the SA daggers in that they were used by "storm troopers".
My information is from a well known Danish dealer.
I would like to know more about these.

Nice and rare daggers FJ.
The Dagger with no hangar strap for secure the knife is a spesial one ;)Not often seen.

Thanks guys According to a dutch website all of these knives were made in the years 1917-18, and they do belive it were made between 30 and 50 thousand knives. Matching sets are seldom seen, and one of the reason for this is probably their long ”duty time”. First used by the Dutch, then by the Germans, and finally by the Norwegian home guard. The Dutch Stormdolk is not only good looking, it is also a very sturdy fighting knife. Not so rare among Norwegian collectors, so I quessing the Germans ”imported” a lot of these to Norway during WW2. Yes, LH600 the scabbard without a securing strap is an early variant. This was the first I found, and I was ”forced” to buy a collection of 150 K98 bayonets to get it  Best Regards Fanejunker

Hi Sean, I fell for it,it was on egun with really dark photos.
The dagger is really well made,they have even stamped numbers on the crossguard.
