I have recieved an e-mail from a one "Pawel Nowak" from Poland offering medals and daggers and I feel he could only have got my contact from this fourm. Has anyone heard of this fellow? I found it suspect having heard of all the horror stories and his second e-mail listed credientials from England as well as an offer of a copy of his passport and EU drivers liscense. I plan to proceed with extreme caution. Opinions?

Thanks, Scott

Just a note, I fired off a nasty e-mail to this scab as well as reported him to the Polish links I got from the posted threads. I appreciate the rapid response to my querry-He hasn't changed his 'scam' in the slightest. This pig is the type of preditor who makes a difficult hobby harder for honest people. I was born at night, but not last night.

Scott,

As others have said Pawel is well known. I look at it this way, "It means you are a regonized member of this forum and now an informed one to boot!"

Good job of not being ****ed in!!

He just said, send me the money and I'll send you the dagger, and I'll also throw in Himmler's Honour ring as well?...I just can't wait for the postman to come!!!...But in the meantime I'll just shove my head back up my arse!

Great thing about forums, as soon as I saw the name I was on the back foot. Ten out of ten for persistence though, I guess he will only pack it in when he's behind bars.

Hello. all,...Yes I'm pleased to report that no, I havent sent this chancer 50k! I wouldn't even send this Guy 50cent's. (I don't mean the American rap artist 50c!) This is not the first time he has emailed me with some silly offer, and it probably won't be the last. I suspect he dose get the occasional result by doing this kind of thing, but my advice (not that you need it!) is to ignore every email he sends you.

I'm so shocked to see this thread! I'm new and a month ago I got the offer on SA's and a Ernst Rohm (with RZM- haha). I emailed a bunch of times with him and asked for more pics. He said his daughter was out of town and had his camera and he could not take pics. Red flag! He said he did not take paypal and that was a major red flag! So I forwarded the emails to a known member and thank God he told me to stay away!!
Is there anything I can do to report him? and to who?

thanks!
Brian

here's the first email he sent me:

Hello:

I have some German Insignia/Medals from WWI and WWII and a few German helmets from WWI and WWII in a good condition. There are also German daggers. I have also a few bayonets and swords for sale: japanese arisaka, and three french bayonets: Chassepot, Grass and Lebel. I would like to sell them for a reasonable price. I also have a japanese swords (katana and tanto) with the blade from XVIII century. If you could have an interest, let me know.

Regards.
Pawel
