What an unusual mark. Looks like it was factory due to the blueing. I haven't seen one like it before. Thanks for sharing. I'll be waiting to hear an explanation... Regards.

Maybe a subcontractor? I don't think a rework as hardened steel is real tough to stamp numbers in. Doug

The last '2' on the lower mark does look light.

Yeah. "k" & the "1" looks heavy too. Like they stamped it by hand in a bracket that was struck a little cockeyed. Doug
