This is my new tunic. It is stamp M 31, so it must be worn in the Reichswehr and then in the Wehrmacht. What�s "new" an this tunic? Eagle of course, but waht about the collar?

Looks like a tailor made or modified old style service tunic to me.

These could have either a field grey badge cloth collar, or one made of the bluish dark green cloth seen here. The number of buttons is interesting. These were originally eight buttoned, but an order dated 31 Oct 1928 cut that to six. Why it is interesting is the number was cut to five with the introduction of the field blouse on 01 Apr 1933, and returned to six on 26 May 1941, due to the degradation in cloth quality. Thus, six buttoned tunics are generally seen as mid to late war. This is clearly not the case here.

Reason I say tailor made/modified is the cuffs. French cuffs (turned up like these) were permitted for officer's tunics. Senior NCO's could be allowed to modify their tunics in this way, and that looks to have happened here.
