Hi Gents, what do you think about this Heer Panzer Feldmütze? Is it a good one or a fake? All comments are welcome and feel free to add any comments. Regards. UWO.

Just my opinion but I don't like the way the insignia has been stitched on or the metal vent grommets. Personaly, I would pass.

The maker mark is not easy to read but it is a manufacturer from Munchen and the date of manufacture is 1940.

Don't like the inverted V piping extending all the way to the edge. It normally passed through small holes at about the lower stitch line.

Not saying some didn't stitch the V like that, because some tailors did, but many caps like this with the rarer pipings were actually bogus upgrades of unpiped examples, and for a long time, they didn't bother with how the piping was finished.
Here is an example with concealed ends

Just look few seconds at this outstanding picture of a panzer heer NCO in black wrap and M34 feldmütze. Look at the pink soutache...

A total reproduction in my opinion. Have seen these before.(and not because of the soutache application)
Wool, liner, rivits, method of insignia application are all bad.
