Did Carl Julius Krebbs ever make short dress bayos with a logo not having an Oval around logo?

Thanks, I blew it! I passed on a minty Krebs short dress bayo w/frog and portapee for $195 because I couldnt find a reference to a non Oval logo bayo.

I have one identical to the top one Terry shows, that one may even be a picture of mine. Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner.

TK, is the lower mark etched or stamped?

I think there are about 5 different C. J. Krebs trade marks. The lower one that I have listed (single oval)was etched on some Heer, Navy, and Luft. daggers but was stamped on their bayonets.

I saw this earlier, I'm thinking this is the one you passed on?

Billy

I don't know how many times I have missed one. I either forget or am not at home when the auction ends.

T,

Frankly I'm surprised there's anything you don't have at least one of Smile

This one was on a site update & new items usually get snapped up quick. I haven't seen many of this logo, the ones I've seen, albeit scarcely, have been the smaller CJ Krebs logo with the oval that's lightly stamped. I think one of the interesting features of this logo is the overall size of it as well as the prominent deep stamping.

The one I have is on a fire bayonet, one of only two I've seen on fire blades. The piece has an overall heft to it & is very heavy so I'm presuming this logo is earlier than the smaller one.
