Just thought you would like to take a look at the first SS Rohm I ever owned. It's on my site. Zaske was Hitlers SS Cook at the Brown House.

I got it from Tom Johnson when he got it in a collection around 1978. Amazingly no one had bothered to check who the serial number was attributed to! I was a happy camper!

Super dagger Gailen ! But tell me , why doesnt anybody say that it is strange , that a guy that close to Hitler kept the Rohm-etching? I wonder what some people here would have said if I posted the dagger... I am NOT questioning your dagger !Its great !

The hell if I know, do you? I would imagine that he also personally knew Rohm. We will never know the reason for sure.

By the way, I asked myself the same questions when I had the dagger in my collection. When I purchased it no one had even researched it so it was not used as a selling point. I was happy to live with these unanswered questions.

Rob: I've thought it over and have decided to grind Rohms name off and sell it as a ground. The price $15,000, the same as unground. Just joking, Ha! Ha! Gailen

Wonderful dagger Gailen, and a priviledge to see one with such close ties to the Boss - he must have kept it under his hat! Great research item, which could be the centre piece of anyones collection. I wouldn't be surprised if several people close to the boss who were awarded these, kept them in their originally intended state, as they probably had another for wear when required. Good cooks were probably hard to find, especially one to keep the Fuehrer happy!
Regards
Russell

Maybe the reason the dagger wasn't ground is he was never married?

Would anyone be interested in a Postschutz once owned by Hitler's mailman?
