Hi,At this time I do not have this cap,it is coming up for auction soon and I intend to have a go for it.Iam new to the collecting of SS uniform so look to the members to give some guidence,to which I thank ANDY already. This cap is black, woolen and coarsish to the feel, lined with a flat matt green lining material. The eagle is silver thread and in good condition, the TK tightly woven in white thread that is quite raised to the touch and aged darker with dust atc.It came from a house clearance of a veteran, whoose details the auction house will not divulge. All your help is greatly appreciated.Grip.

WITHOUT PICTURES, THERE IS NO WAY ANYONE CAN GIVE YOU AN OPINION FROM A DESCRIPTION! UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING, I WOULD ADVISE THAT YOU PROCEED WITH GREAT CAUTION. BUY SOME BOOKS, STUDY ORIGINAL EXAMPLES AND THEN CONSIDER PURCHASE.

the pics are not very good, but it looks new and dont like insignia, the price guide of 40-60 uk should tell you either the dealer is without knowledge or is hoping you are, stay clear. phil.

The description does not say authentic anywhere. Smile
You could almost add two zeros to the price if this were authentic and I agree with bwanek1 on the insignia.
