The stitching and construction appears to be something worn by units of the eastern volunteer units ie urals etc

Yellow piping could indicate armenian volunteers but the golden embroidery matches nothing of the Ost volunteer insignia. I never seen anything like this, my guess would be that this is perhaps tab from some axis countries like Bulgaria/Yugoslavia or perhaps interwar Baltic states.

Bulgaria. 1946 - 1947. Right after the war, the uniforms started to change. At first, Royal pattern uniforms received such collar tabs and later buttons with Stars. And a little later /ca 1947/ were introduced brand new uniforms - actually copy of the Soviet WW2 uniforms. These new existed through the first years of the 1950's, when a newer type came, returning a bit back to the Bulgarian tradition, but with commie symbols, of course. But as said, these are Bulgarian, shortly postwar. Not sure for the branch though. May be tank, cavalry or something like that...?

Theo, thank you very very much. These have been a mystery for me for years,,,now solved!
Well them not being WW 2 vintage isn't so bad..Those first few years after the war produced some pretty rare [and short lived] pieces. I'm very happy with this info and now the tabs.. Thanks again! , G.
