I now own a neat old very used motto HJ knife and I really love this design. I'd like to buy anoth and would like some ideas as to where to buy the real deal on the internet. I'm also considering trading in a real nice EK2 with issue packet and a Krebs dress bayonet with frog. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Im sure Pauls site has a few nice ones for sale. Don't undestimate some of the youth knives on the auction sites. It's a little riskier due to the repros, but they can still be had for decent prices. Not only eBay but GB and the others. Also keep your eyes open on the forums. Here and WAF. I bought my most current HJ at WAF abou 3-4 years ago and paid around $150 for a very nice Eickhorn 1941 transitional piece. Still in my collection today and have intention of selling it.
Dealer sites are good, but you will pay a bit of a premium and you know what you're getting, damage and defects up front. I say this because often times, we dont find out some of the subtle damage till after the auction ends and we have it in hand. From the dealer, they typically list any blemmish the piece may have so there are no nasty surprises. Buying from peers on the forums is pretty safer as well. Last piece of advice, if you're newer and not that comfortable with discerning real from repros, then DONT chance the auctions. Go with the known quantity. Purchase from a well respected dealer. There are alot of good guys here and at WAF who run dealer site. Most are well respected, fair and offer a full money back if not satisfied or if the piece proves to be non period, guarnateed for life. In short, use good judgement. If youve spent some time reading the thread and closely examing photos, it will serve as a huge advantage to have while HJ shopping.
Good luck either way. HJs area great little knives and certainly have come along way over the last few years.

Thanks to all who have replied thus far. I've been watching the auction site and checking the dealers too.
