Until recently, I thought I HAD owned the best TK Honor Ring in the world - the very beautiful Brumm ring (complete with original factory protective lacqueur). Well, I will go ahead and say that despite the fact that the Brumm ring had more going for it (rarer date, plus all of the Brumm stuff that came with it - photos, dog tag, awards, documents, plus the fact that he was a TK Officer), I have found a ring that is, condition wise, it's equal. It was purchased this weekend at the Stuttgart Arms Fair by a friend of mine and immediately sold to me. It's only the 2nd ring I have ever seen with 100% of the factory protective lacquer, and 100% of the black burnishing beneath the lacqueur, I have ever seen.

I am proud to debut this ring, never before in a collection, on GDC - they are still out there! Incidentally, though I have info coming from my friend on the officer (he interviewed the family member), I would love to get any additional information anyone has about this officer.

Craig, that is a real beauty,,excellent condition!,,...Looks like it was maybe worn a few times and put in the box for safe keeping...You've been acquiring the cream of the crop, congratulations on another fine purchase..Thanks for sharing the photos of it here with us.. , G.

Craig: All I can do is chime in here and say fantastic. That's the best I've ever seen. BTW: Put a big price tag on it so you'll still have it when the MAX rolls around and we can view it first hand! Jim

Gaspare: It was actually never worn. The reason I know this is because the lacqueur put on rings lasts only a few wearings, before it wears off. This ring was, like the Brumm ring, delivered to the family and never made it to the owner. And for what it's worth, I can claim credit for discovering the concept of lacqueur on rings, having first noticed it myself on the Brumm ring.

I think Don has you beat by years,,,he was talking to a bunch of us about mint rings with the lacquer on them at the 2002 MAX..
