The blade is in good condition, maker mark and motto are deeply etched and still maintain some frosting.The maker mark is marked 1198/39 and it perfectly matches the ones shown in Whittmann's excellent reference.Scabbard is a dent fre, with plated fittings. The ball is fine and all screws are present. No chips, cracks or hairlines at the hadle,just normal period wear in small pressure marks. The blade to crossguard fit is perfect as is the scabard fit. Included is the original black maker marked hanger than has never been removed
