Now lets see what does the term RARE mean. Funk & Wagnalls says Highly esteemed because of infrequency or uncommonness. Well I have never seen one of these and the 19 bidders must think its rare. So whats the problem.

Terry, Very true " Highly esteemed because of infrequency or uncommonness.", he could be justified labelling the first as rare, but what happens next week when 5 million hit EBAY . No wonder owning tortoises is banned in the UK....LOOK WHERE THEY END UP!. ^ I am sorely tempted to bid on that other fruit loops offering you have just posted, is there a new book due out or something....lol

DEGENS, The anchor and other simbles heap of junk made me smile.Unfortunately, with ebay,s new security bidding system, it seems one is unable to contact bidders to warn them. Regards JOHN

Out of curiosity, has anybody else noticed the "bidder" anomaly on EBAY lately...I have noticed several third reich collectable auctions where the price is driven up by users named "Bidder1" etc. This auction bears the same trait and I have noticed others where the price has gone ridiculous for what the item is actually worth, any members here use a "bidder" tag?.
Is this something assigned by EBAY for security?.

I am not an Ebay fan, I have used it in the past but now I avoid.
Which is a shame as the concept was good.
I do bid on the odd electrical item though.
You wait and see how much those PS3's go for when they hit the streets.
