Due to the lack of quality etching (see the borders, the eagles head and the oakleaves) the missing of the firms name in connection with the "logo" imo it is a postwar etched blade in an otherwise original dagger. Also the hangers (with early deluxe clips and late other fittings and a plain upper hardware and spurious leather taps) are imo postwar messed with. The case could be anything. As these army daggers were NO honor daggers each case for them is highly spurious. Regards,

VERY poor quality etch IMO, not something that would appear on an expensive extra cost option.

The real shame is that who ever etched it ruined the blade on a really hard to find maker! Unless they also added the maker mark later.

Raul, great to see you back and fully recovered from the accident.
When are you going to show the forum your collection room? I think you have one of he best looking, classiest displays I have seen!

Hi Gustavo, Great hear from you also. First of all I must see your newest collection piece. You know it..... David :-) I hope everything goes ok for you and your family. My collection grows up slowly. As you can see the last pieces offered to me finally results be fakes or at least suspicious like the Marine HJ. But well, therere some goods pieces in my displays that Id like to show in the forum. I suppose that sooner or later Ill find some time to order the pics and upload to the web. Hope see you soon, friend
