At a small militaria show last month I got this short blade Imperial Bajonet . It has the dbl. squirel Eickhorn trade mark with 'C.E.' below . Grips are checkered wood ; blade is 7-7/8 - inches long , grips with cross guard is 4-3/8-inches for a total of 12-5/8-inches for the entire bajonet . It has the groove/ slot and the button if functional .
