Pro and Cons of buying an unmarked GOV blade? How bad it is for a Collection and investment?

Each to his own but in my opinion you would be better steering clear of anything but textbook Alcoso and Eickhorn marked pieces, they are a better investment and a lot easier to sell on.

To the best of my knowledge there was never an orignal MFG produced GO with out a makers mark.
I would not buy one w/o a makers mark.

The Johnson Dagger book Volume 5 states that there where some unmarked blades used for GOV's.

I dont know if I have ever seen one, but if you feel comfortable that it's original and you like it, then buy it. Keep in mind it's going to be a harder sell than a marked one will be, so if you're looking to sell it in the future or buying as an investment, I'd be careful.
