Hello all,
I acquired this item just lately. Not really a collector of pole tops but would like to get opinions and any information regarding it. It is about 8 inches wide by 8 inches high, made of brass and no markings on it as far as I can tell. Also am I correct in thinking that the eagle is a first style eagle? I appreciate any info or comments about this item

Bill, you mention its brass. Brass with a real silver plate? or a heavy silver wash?
At bottom just a solid plug?

Hello,
Gaspare there is no silver plate on it. Doesn't look as if there ever was any. And yes the bottom is a solid plug basically.
