Here are some photos of the Navy dagger I have that's silver colored. I really don't believe in the 'administration' label too much. I keep an oprn mind but when long time collectors say they haven't seen one the believe original in 50-60 years of collecting, I take it to heart. I bought this dagger 9 years ago sight-un-seen from a collector who probably got it at one of the Max shows.I wouldn't have bought it if I saw it at a show but didn't want to bother returning it, as I thought it was just a average dagger. I don't think I thought of the 'admin' lable untill some time later. Either way here are some photos. What do you think?

Pommel, scabbard and cross guard are late Alcoso. Blade is quite eary WKC being made approx 1930-32--so-- parts dagger.I would guess the "finish" is a flash coat for the zinc and steel parts and the late gold finish possibly never was applied.But--with these last shots I see what appears to be gold in the recesses of that scabbard.

Houston, I took a look with a loop, I can see just a slight hint of,what looks like, a gold finish on the scabbard under the bands between the oakleafs. I had never noticed that before. Thanks.
