Hello Gentlemen. I have a double etched bayonet of unsentimental inscription. Ons side says ' Infantry Regiment No 43 Bn'
The other 'Der Zieg wird under sein' followed by a swastika.
Would this be a parade or combat bayonet and are they common? Thanks all R.R.

Reggie,
Your picture isn't showing up but by your description of the etch, I'd say it sounds like a parade bayonet. I don't believe combat bayonets were not normally inscribed as such. The second word is likely "Sieg" instead of "Zieg".
