Aside from the fact that the scabbard is an obvious repaint and the connectors were "played with", I don't see anything wrong with the chain per say. Perhaps, a "put together" operation.

i dont see the two little dots above the letter U on the reverse of the chain in the word korpsfuhrung there should be an umlat, (pardon my spelling) is that a point to note on these chains? regards,,mike

Good point Michael, I hadn't noticed it ! I have never seen an original Chained NSKK without the (..) on the "U". I took a better look at the chain and it is 100% fake. No doubt about it ! The acorn leaf on the clip are also not correct either, completely different from an original one.

You are wright, RZM sign and the numbers are acualy looking wierd ! My opinion is that the blade my be fake, but other parts looks legit !
